June 2nd, 2020 Primary Voter Guide

Maryland’s primary election is now scheduled for June 2, 2020, with a new registration deadline of May 27, 2020.  Maryland is a “closed-primary” state, this means that you must be registered with the Democratic or Republican parties by May 27, 2020 in order to vote.

You can check your registration status here  and register to vote here.

The primary election will be conducted primarily by mail. This means that all registered voters will be mailed a ballot and postage-paid envelope. Voters are asked to complete the ballot and return by mail using the envelope provided. Voted ballots must be postmarked by June 2, 2020. Voters also have the option of dropping voted ballots in boxes at designated locations between May 21, 2020 through June 2, 2020.  These drop off locations will be posted here once they are finalized.

There will be limited in-person voting on June 2, 2020 for any registered voters who do not receive a mail ballot or are unable to fill out the mail ballot due to special needs. These in-person election day voting locations will be posted here once they are finalized.

Don’t forget, if you are not currently incarcerated, you can and should vote!
